I recently wrote a post about Sinupret for Kids. Now, Sinupret and Kat's Health Living would like to give you the opportunity to
try it for free by giving away 15 sample packs!
The sample packs include:
Recently, I wrote about some transdermal magnesium products by Ancient Minerals. Since I've been using these products for a few months now, I wanted to give an update.
The item that I've been using the most is their wonderful bath flakes. At first, I used them in the bath - but to be honest, I just don't have the time (who does?) to take a long luxurious bath on a regular basis. So my husband and I decided to use it in a foot bath instead.
I went to the store, intending to buy a foot soak tub and left with two large cat litter boxes. Seriously, they are the PERFECT size and shape for a good comfy foot soak! So what we've been doing is to fill up the tubs in the evening when we're going to watch some TV, and let our feet soak for about 30 minutes to an hour. The beauty of this is that we've seen the same benefits from a foot soak that we saw from the bath!
When we soak in the evenings, we've both noticed that we sleep more soundly and wake up refreshed and alert.
Now I do want to mention the magnesium gel too, because my husband, who has back problems, uses it when his back is giving him trouble and it ALWAYS helps. And it is much less messy than Icy/Hot (less dangerous too - try accidentally taking out your contact lenses after using icy/hot - ouch!).
Why use transdermal magnesium instead of just taking a pill? Well, our skin is our largest organ and is able to process larger amounts of magnesium than our digestive system can, and without the uncomfortable digestive side effects - if you know what I mean...
As someone with anxiety and sleep issues, I can personally say that this method of taking magnesium has helped me more than taking it orally ever did.
You know that I am all about using herbs and other natural remedies for 'what ails ya'. Now I would like to share a tip for the kiddos.
I know that most moms (me!) are/have been frustrated by the fact that we cannot give over the counter cold medicines to children under four. The truth is that, besides being dangerous, the cold medicines don't even seem to work for children this young. There are alot of natural remedies that you can try; however, guessing on dosages for kids can be tricky.
Bionorica's Sinupret for Kids has taken out the guesswork by formulating an all natural remedy in order to treat and prevent sinus issues in young children.
One of the few natural remedies to be clinically tested, Sinupret for Kids has been found to be effective by 88% of the physicians in a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial including approximately 3,000 children and 1,000 physicians.
I have used it for both of my kiddos, currently suffering from seasonal allergies, and I've noticed a definite decrease in mucous, and even sneezing. Sinupret for Kids is a remedy that I can really feel good about (and I'm picky!)- it is gluten-free and contains water, malitol, ethyl alcohol, and cherry flavor.
As a side-note, my kids are ridiculously picky about taste, and they love it.
(Please see my newer post for information on how to win a free sample!)
