Healing Oils for the Flu Season

In the winter, we're not getting enough sunlight to stimulate our immune systems and we're all cooped up inside together. It's no wonder we all get sick! Here's an aromatherapy tip to help you get through the winter, disease free:

Essential Oil Hand Sanitizer

Mix a few drops of Lemon, Tea Tree, or Grapefruit essential oils to water and alcohol.

Essential Oil Air Cleanser

Add 3 to 5 drops each: Eucalyptus, Tea Tree and Peppermint oils to your home air diffuser to cleanse the air of germs.

You can also use First Response from Aura Cacia, a great blend of purifying oils designed to kill germs and keep your house germ free!

I'll be doing an aromatherapy post once weekly, so if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to comment below and I'll use them in the coming weeks.

Awesome!! Thank you that sounds wonderful.

Let me ask, though - would doing the same but boiling it work the same for the air cleanser? I don't have an air diffuser (I don't think I do, any way).

Hi! You sure can... just boil a pan of water and put 1 to 9 drops of essential oils in the water.

You can also use essential oils in a humidifier if you have one. :-)
